Opening Requests - UPDATE 5/21/19

So, almost a year later...I wanted to let everyone know that I am still hopeful to get this requests journal going as a regular thing, but I opened this up like, 2 weeks before a big trip and then starting a new full time job last fall (silly me...) and I had quite literally all my time sucked away just like that with everything I had to learn for my new job, while also keeping up with the work for both of my side businesses. Unfortunately, that meant that my DA stuff had to get thrown to the back burner yet again (sigh). But, I'm starting to get the hang of everything at work now and I am trying to arrange my life in a way to get me more time for my art so I am hoping that soon I will be able to get to this and get my current list done. Having to earn a living sure likes to get in the way of the fun things -_-

Long time no update guys!
So I've been browsing through some of my old work and I realized that many of my favorite pieces, which I had the most fun with and also happened to bring about the most growth in my artistic skills, were through the various requests and trades I did in the past. I miss those challenges so I am going to open up my requests/trades again to see if I can't challenge myself to grow some more! I have been lacking in creative ideas as of late.
I am opening up 3 slots that will be first come, first serve but don't worry if you don't get in this month! I am hoping to be able to take three new request/trades every month so if you want me to draw something for you, just keep an eye out for my renewal journal at the beginning of each month!

***No realistic pet portrait requests please! I make a good portion of my income from the portraits so I'm afraid I can't offer to do those for free. Thank you for understanding. If you would like to commission a portrait, please send me a note anytime!*** Other than that, you are free to request just about anything (original characters, creatures of the world, mythological creatures, etc) You are free to give me any parameters such as a story/environment/event to depict your character in as well. Have fun with your request! I will have fun drawing them

As the Year Goes On

Since, my last journal was starting to grow cobwebs, I figured it was time for something different. Those of you who have been following me on here for a while know I'm terrible about updating journals. It's just never really clicked with me. I kind of give updates with my deviations instead of my journal.
Anyway, I wanted to give a kind of happy, excited about the start of the holiday season kind of journal but as life would have it, my very difficult year continues even into the holidays. This past week I had to say goodbye to my beloved friend and equine partner Gateway. He was hit very suddenly and very unexpectedly with an aggressive bout of colic which caused complications with his small intestine that the vet could do nothing for and we had to let him go. While I never officially owned him, I have always considered Gateway to be my first horse. We bonded with each other from the moment we met close to 9 years ago and he is the horse that really kick started my interest and love of training horses enough to pursue it as a career. His chill, happy-go-lucky puppy dog personality taught me a lot about living in the moment and not worrying about the little things in life. He was a huge support for me in high school and even into college though I didn't see him as much then. I had talked with my instructor and was actually saving up to buy him when all this happened. I am devastated. He was in his prime. Much to young to be taken from us like this. A light that shouldn't have been extinguished and a blessing to my life that I don't think can be replaced.
To those I am RPing with or doing art with/for who are waiting for my response, I am sorry for the delay but now you know the reason why. I will try to get back to everything soon.

Journal Update

Hello there everyone!
If I have any watchers left who look for my stuff, my activity is terrible I know and I'm sorry for it. The past almost year for me has been pretty hard and I had zero time for anything other than working and sleeping with occasional time for some food now and then. Things with my job started out great when I first started last fall but very quickly turned sour and I was trapped for a while in a terrible cycle of work with very little rest. I was finally able to get out a couple weeks ago and have moved back in with my parents for now as I figure out a new plan. My life has finally calmed down enough that I have been able to set my computer back up to start working on more art more regularly so hopefully I will be able to be more active on here at long last. I know I've said this before but I'm hoping that this time it's true.
I am going to start trying to build up my art business as I would like to eventually be able to use it as my primary source of income so I have open commission slots if anyone is interested in anything. Please send me a note if you are interested and we can discuss the project. I will NOT be doing point commissions and prices will be in USD. I might be open to doing some trades a little further down the road once I get a system going with art so keep an eye open for those.

I am excited to finally have time for art again and hope to start posting some new stuff soon for you guys. If you are interested in seeing WIP stuff let me know. I would be happy to share that with you as well.

So I have been going through and organizing all my thousands of pictures from my adventures traveling to and working at Yellowstone this past summer. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! I am trying to find the best pictures I have to post so I can try to share a bit of what my adventures entailed and things I got to see. So you guys will be seeing lots and lots of photos for a while. I hope you find them interesting.
