Turtle Tank

This was my final project for my hand building clay class. The assignment was to take a machine and morph it into an animal form. I chose a turtle and a tank because I thought it would be a cool Christmas gift idea for my dad who drove tanks in the army before he retired.

It had a bit of a freak accident in the kiln during its first firing which broke the guns and then it messed up again in the second firing causing the guns to become stuck where they are. I could not get them off without risk of chipping the turtle's head so I had to leave them the way they are. I think it still looks ok though, gives it some personality!
